Trauma & PTSD Support
Healing After Trauma
Experiencing trauma can leave you feeling stuck in patterns of fear, avoidance, or self-doubt. At Waystone Counseling, I provide a safe, supportive space where you can begin processing your story, reducing distress, and rebuilding your sense of self.

Working Together
I am trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment designed specifically for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). CPT focuses on identifying and shifting “stuck points”—thoughts that keep you trapped in avoidance, numbing, or negative coping behaviors.
Through this structured approach, we’ll work to reduce the intensity of trauma symptoms and create space for new perspectives, balance, and growth.

What to Expect in Sessions
CPT is generally 12–24 sessions, depending on your needs. During our work together, you can expect to:
- Build awareness of how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are connected
- Learn to identify “stuck points” that reinforce distress
- Develop skills to challenge and reframe unhelpful thoughts
- Reduce avoidance and increase coping strategies
- Begin living with greater balance, freedom, and confidence
All CPT materials are provided at no additional cost.
